Sister's 16th Brithday (Charissa) =)
On the 9th of Oct, I initially had plans to go out with others but when I remembered it was my sister's sweet 16 I decided to take her out for shopping.
And man, did she shop.
She shopped 'till I went broke. Seriously. I'm broke like hell. My money was crying, begging me not to throw them away. X)
But...what to dooo....I demanded alot when I was 16 as well.. And I am such a GOOD sister. hahaha.
Anyway, after the whole shopping fever, we went for dinner at Ogawa, one of my sister's favourite Japanese restaraunt. She totally loves the beef set there. It's like.. she got drugged by it or somethin'.
Sometimes out of the blue she would burst out with the words "ogawa beef set.........."
Crazyyy.
By the way, it's the first time my mom isn't around for a birthday celebration! She's all the way in Belgium..I Miss her. nuuuu~~ ="(

On the other hand, we had our granpa with us!
I never really had the chance to talk to my grandpa when I was younger because he rarely came for visits from Penang. It was my grandma who would constantly come around to pamper me. =)
However, I learnt ALOT about him last night which kinda blew my mind away.

He told us, he used to be the best photographer in Penang and he used to work for the press.
He actually MET Queen Elizabeth, CHING PENG (the communist whom we learn about in our history books today), Tunku Abdul Rahman and he was actually there when they signed the "Perjanjian Bali". Don't know what "Perjanjian Bali" is? Go search your history text books.
Other than that, if there were meetings or gatherings by all the VIPs he would always be sitting on the next table, beside the vips.
He went through the British..the Japanese...
And when he was telling us all that..it struck me..
"wow..my grandpa is really...really....really..old"
He's like a walking, talking history book!

Ogawa was giving a freeflow of beer that day. But I didn't drink cuz I CAN'T drink. I'm the world's lousiest drinker. I was merely holding the cup for fun. hahaha.

My ever so cutieee grandpa! =)

The tradisional cake-cutting ceremony.
This time my dad picked the banana choc cake.
The last time my sister (Charissa) picked the cake (which was on MY 20th birthday) she picked the most disgusting cake I've ever tasted in my entire life and even my maid who eats EVERYTHING refused to eat it. That was how bad it was. I promised myself I would never allow her to pick my cake ever again. pfft.

Hmm..since it's her birthday and all, I might as well share one of the funniest moments which happened on her birthday when she was much younger.
-Charissa's Birthday in Primary 1 (9th Oct)-
The moment she came home from school she told my mom, "mommy! I'm having a party! my friends are coming soon"
mother : *blur* huh? what party?
She : My birthday party!
mother : since when are we having a birthday party? I thought we are just going out for dinner?
She : I told my friends we are going to Twinkles! ( the place where there are loads of big tubes and balls where you can walk around the whole area and "explore")
Then..the parents of her friends started calling.
All of a sudden a party was made on the day itself. A self proclaimed party which none of the family members knew about until she's invited everyone she possibly knew.
But it wasn't at Twinkles because it was closed on that day.. it was at McD's in The SUMMIT. hahahahaha
She cried though, my poor sister. She's always been so blur and random.
But I couldn't watch my cute sister cry, so I went off with my maid to buy her a yellow Pikachu bag which was furry (I knew she likes fur).
She was crying and crying but when I gave her the bag, she smiled.
Hah, kids, they're so easy. =)
