The Birthday Post
It was my 21st birthday yesterday! Wasn't sure if I should celebrate the fact that I've made it to the "young adult" stage or to mourn the fact that I'm another year Older. haha. Just kiddin'. Obviously I'm happy I've finally turned 21. I'm officially legal babehh!! :p
Early in the morning, my dad came around, hugged me, wished me and gave me my key pendant. He said, "you now have the freedom to do..GOOD". He emphasized on the "GOOD" really clearly I wonder why. hahaha.
Like every other birthdays I've ever had in my life, the tradition is to celebrate the actual birthday with my family. So the plan for my birthday was a dinner with my lovely family~
We went to Starhill and proceeded the restaurants at the lowest floor. There were quite a few but I finally managed to pick one, which was called Pak Loh Chiu Chou Restaurant. I had no idea what the difference was between Chiu Chou and every other chinese restaurants out there but the place looked good.
I'm always attracted to restaurants with beautiful interior decorating. The service was definitely good because the moment we stepped in, the friendly waitress led us into the private area although there were still seats outside. Was so nice of her. =)
Picture of the menu and the plates/bowls, etc. haha
Me drinking the "welcome tea". The welcome tea tasted really good!
So was the pot of tea which we ordered. Honestly, every single dish there tasted really good and I'm not being biased just because of the place. I'm the kinda person who actually tastes the food to judge if it's good. Thanks to my dad who have been teaching us to eat delicious food ever since we were little. Even if it's beside the street, next to a drain..if the food tastes good, it's good. ;p
They actually gave us a "guide to ChiuChou cuisine" in order to help us understand the type of cuisine better. haha.
We finished our dinner approximately 10pm and when we reached home, it was the "cutting cake ceremony".
I've been cutting my birthday cake at the exact same place for many years. l-o-l.
BR ice cream cake. It's so yummmyyy~ and cute!

Thank goodness this ice cream cake wasn't as hard as the previous one from the choir ministry at Wong Kok. hahaha. X)
As usual, there was the solo-picture-taking session exclusively by me, myself and I ( I've not used these words in such a long time! Ever since high school.)
Acting-cute pictures are fun because I won't look so serious.
Picture of me in my room, thanks to my sis Charissa~
Don't really have any other explanation for the other pictures because they were all basically S-S pictures. rofl.
There was something unexpected towards the end of the night though. I got a surprise by my cell group members =)
My sister came to me, asking me to take water for her which was pretty unusual because she has water in her room.
Nonetheless, I went.... and found many people crammed in the kitchen with a birthday cake lighted up.
They sang a birthday song and I cut the cake again..for the second time. haha.
Michelle made a card and Careen picked the present.
Something embarrassing happened while I was opening the present. -___-
The box shows a small hair-dryer and I was like "oh! I would've needed a small hair dryer for travelling and all, thanks!"
Careen replied "aaa...it's not a hairdryer"
rofllmaolol.
When I opened the box, there was a very pretty tube dress with a front zipper. And the thing is, I've been meaning to purchase a dress like that! Careen totally read my mind. :p
But then again, I would always appreciate any gift anyone gives to me. =)
I was also very touched by the hand-made card..it's so beautiful~
I just realised that
I don't have the group picture from last night. Sooo..I'll be waiting to steal it from anyone who uploads it.. ;p
Picture successfully stolen! =)
A small shout out to Careen: Thanks for being such a wonderful connect group leader..you're so patient, caring, nice & _________(insert all sorts of nice words here). I'm so happy to have gotten to know you. Thanks for everything ~ ;)
