L'oreal Annual Convention and Gala Dinner @ Genting Highlands L'oreal had the annual convention + gala dinner at Genting on 17-18 March. It was the first time I've attended my own company annual dinner! During the convention, each division were giving their missions for the year..as well as an update for all the Loreal staff on its progress..etc etc.. The above hair show is done by none other than the PPD (Professional Products Division a.k.a salons/hair and the whole lot). It was fabulous! The other divisions presented themselves in very unique ways too. It must have been the most fun-filled convention ever. Entertainment 80% talk 20%. However, the message was clearly conveyed. =) Me and Ashley..a fellow Management Trainee. We shared a room together. This was the "right after getting ready" photo. Was to excited to take pictures. hahaha :p We were actually rushing off to the Gala Dinner because we were supposed to be there early to help out with the ushering. But, we just HAD to take more pictures first. It was like a must because, who would dress like THAT any time of the year?? It's so once in a lifetime thing. haha. This is Melanie! Our LPD intern. She's really fun to be around with. =) From left to right: Melanie, Me, Ashley, Michelle and Liane Aren't the other girls hoottt?? Drool ppl drooolll.haha :p While walking around, a lady came and asked me if I could pose for the "best dressed" nomination. So I struck some random pose and it came out like this. lol. This was by far THE most extravagant costume I've seen during the night. The moment he (his name is Gee) walked in, everyone's eyes was just FIXED on him. Really awesome costume I would say. He should've won best dressed! This was the agenda of the night The table where the MT's sat The very colourful stage As you can see, almost everyone was dressed according to theme..especially the ones on the right..colourful ones. So pretty. =) At the gala dinner we had served dinner(obviously), lucky draw (some of the prizes consists of vouchers for Prada, LV, travel stuff, Ipods, etc etc) - Melanie won the Prada voucher btw!, Dazzle show and best dressed. I couldn't believe I was the top 5 for girls because there were loads of other people who deserved it? =/ It was really fun experience though..although it was quite scary to be on a stage like that. haha. This was the "after party" ops, this picture was supposed to be way on top because it was the opening. I'm just too lazy to re-adjust. The second one from the left is Shereen! Our beloved HR. She really takes care of us "newbies". =) I thought Lisa should've won the best dressed for the female category because her designer dress was just soooo awesome and she looked so beautiful that night! I was gawking at her the whole time. She's a beauty advisor from Shu Uemura by the way. :p This is non other than our L'oreal Malaysia's managing director. He's a really guy! Me posing again. Me and Melanie trying to be "cutely seductive" I suppose. haha Me and Michelle! We wanted to take a back to back picture because it shows such a contrast. Black and white :p The MT posers =) Back at the hotel after the dinner and "after party" Door gift and consolation prize for best dressed. That's about it! =) |

I shall update soon on the Loreal's Gala Dinner 2010 held at Genting on 17 March =) Before that..I'll have to laze around and sleep first. Not really used to staying up 'till 5 plus in the morning anymore.. haha. In the past (during highschool) I could actually stay up the whole night and just sleep the next day in the afternoon..but, it was for the stupidest reason. Drama watching. It was So addictive I swear!! hahaha. I've been so used to sleeping early and waking up early due to work schedule these days though (old and healthy already =Pp) |

Annie's Belated Birthday Celebration @ Ninja Jones! [Thank Goodness for the "backdate" function. This post is written on 27 March but posted on 16 March because that was the date a few days after the celebration. =)] I never knew that this restaurant existed near Midvalley until Annie and Zhi Yun talked about it. haha. Was wondering how it would be like..and to sum it up in one word..it would be : awesome. The ambiance was breathtaking and the food was delicious..plus, we went for the buffet. It was the first time I had a buffet which was served! The Entrance inside. The end of the entrance which leads to the restaurant =) Upon arrival, we were ushered into a room which could seat for approximately 6-7 people. Then, they gave us a list of food we could order. All we had to do was to write the number in the columns. And the food would be served to you. The buffet is only from 12pm to 2pm and costs RM50 per person. I would say that it is so much more worth it compared to Jogoya and Tenji because first of all, you don't have to rush to get the food (very much like a pasar malam), secondly we can eat in PEACE without people rushing here and there, thirdly we can have CONVERSATIONS where we could actually hear out own voices. Of course, the ambiance is unbeatable. In places like Jogoya and Tenji (during peak periods) I feel as though I'm at some over-crowded-cheap-food place. Plus, the food there is getting disgusting. ew. Anyway, here's the entrance to our room! With one of the waiter in a Ninja uniform. Below are some of the food we ordered. We only managed to ordered probably half the food on the list, but all of it was uber delicious. There were times we ordered the same dish several times because it was that good! Cawan Mushi..my favourite egg dish~ Raw salmon, my favourite raw fish dish! Btw, notice that the salmon are really thick and juicy?? Potato Salad =) Baby Octopus, Jelly Fish and...crap I forgot the other one.. =( Loads of tempura prawns! More Tempura stuff Tori Karaage We ordered the mini octopus again because it was really good Teriyakki Chicken on a stick Some sushi roll thingie Grilled Salmon and some other fish I so did not ordered the gizzard and stuff. It was my bf. He eats weird stuff. hahaha :p Just found this picture funny. haha :p A better one =) Annie has always been the camera woman of the group! Without her around there were lesser pictures. This picture comprises of the people whom made a difference in my college life and who showed me that real friends do exist. When I'm with them, I'm always happy and I am myself. There's no pretense. They're the ones who've seen me being stupid, who've seen me cry, who've seen me mad, who've seen me being crazy...most of the sides of me people don't see and yet we're still friends. haha. My bf is also in that category because I met him in college as well =) In the room's balcony there were 3 Ninja swords, so as usual cam-whorers (especially Annie) we took it and made stupid poses with it. hahaha. This is awesome. Multi-tasking suicide while on the phone. :p This is the view from our room. Isn't it beautiful? =) Us, with the expensive kimono backdrop in front of our room Poor ninja was forced to stop and pose with the plate for us to take a picture of him. lol! The birthday girl pictures which I took! *proud of myself* :p Us before leaving the restaurant. I had a wonderful time with everyone. =) |
